What is the Mission Fest BC conference?

Discovering and joining God’s global mission.

Mission Fest BC (MFBC) by Mission Central is a non-profit missions conference with a 40+ year history that serves as a rallying point for global missions—bringing Christians, missionaries, churches, nonprofit agencies, and networks together.

Every theme we’ve had over the years ultimately leads to these two questions: How is God moving in the world, and how do we join Him?

We gather real missionaries who share what God is doing to reach the unreached and tell of the wonders He’s doing across the globe—to inspire, equip, and send out the next generation of missionaries and supporters.

At Mission Fest BC, you’ll find yourself rediscovering how much God loves you and wants to activate you to join him in his work. The call to mission isn’t something to be afraid of—it’s what you were made for.

Encounter
Jesus.

Without the love and the power of Jesus, our works are nothing. Transforming the world begins with being personally transformed by the love of Jesus.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. - John 15:5

Embrace
Calling.

God is delighted to do His work through His people. See how He’s moving through prayer, the Word, the testimonies of believers from around the world, and step into your calling.

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” - Eph 2:10

Renewed.

No amount of change or upheaval is beyond the love of Christ. He is the hope for the nations. Go resolved and confident that His love transforms cultures, circumstances, and every person’s spiritual and physical reality.

    60+ missionaries and missions organizations that are doing the work out in the field. Learn what God is doing in the world and the difference the gospel makes from those on the frontier.

  • Prayer & Worship

    Experience Jesus’ love through music, communing with the Spirit, and praying together!

    Evangelism training and an opportunity to get out in the community and see Jesus’ love in action.

Why Missions?

  • 3.6 billion unreached

    Over 3.6 billion people have yet to be reached with the gospel. Jesus told us to go and make disciples of all nations. We’ve made a good start—but it’s been 2000 years and we’ve still got 44% of the world’s people groups to go.

  • Matthew 28:19-20

    Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

  • 75,448 workers needed

    You can change these numbers. The Joshua Project estimates that we need 75,448 workers to enter the mission field to meet this need. If you say “yes” to Jesus today, who knows who might follow you into the field?

  • Revelation 7:9

    After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.

  • Frontier People Groups

    One fourth of humanity lives in people groups where there are 1 in 1,000 or fewer Christians. These are the Frontier People Groups, communities with virtually no established gospel presence.

  • The Lord's Return

    In Matthew 28, the Lord tells us to make disciples of ALL nations. In Revelation 7, we see that in the future, every single nation is represented before the throne of God. This tells us that 1) by God’s grace, we will succeed in reaching every people on earth with the gospel, and 2) Jesus does not return until every nation is reached. Can we get excited about preparing the way for Jesus’ return?
